Day 239: My 6 Secrets

Yesterday I gave you the ONE QUESTION I asked every $100,000+ coaching client I ever worked with.

It’s a 100% grade A game-changer for a successful coaching relationship.

Speaking of game-changing thoughts…

I’ll leave this with my socialist friends that keep hurling abuse my way for my thoughts on our accidental escalator towards communism.

‘A fact is information minus emotion.

An opinion is information plus experience.

Ignorance is an opinion lacking information.

And stupidity is an opinion that ignores fact.’

6 Steps to Coaching Excellence

If you’re going to charge high-end coaching fees you need to DELIVER.

Singing “My clients never do anything…” is beyond lame and you just sound pathetic saying it.

Otherwise stated…

There’s no such thing as a bad student.

Only a bad teacher.

I’ve elevated business coaches of all shapes, sizes, colors, cultures, genders (non genders…? Cough cough) and backgrounds.

Here’s what I found to be consistent amongst my multiple six-figure and seven-figure earning (I call them my Unicorns) business coaches:

1. They’re committed.

Nothing worse than a coach that flounders in and out of the industry and gets taken by shiny light syndrome.

Unequivocally commit for ten years and you’ll have your dream career.

Keep floundering from one industry to the next and you’ll end up in the same spot… only ten years older and ten years further from retirement.

Michael Jordan didn’t decide to go to play tennis after a bad few games.

2. Built on past success.

You love golf? Help businesses in the golf niche.

You’re a talented salesperson?

Hire a coach and do the business development aspect of the business.

3. Surrounded themselves with winners.

Are the closest people around you, starting a business, investing their money, learning about investing, reading books, listening to educational info/podcasts, looking after themselves physically, going to cool places, and attempting to live their best life?

Or are they getting into social media fights about Donald Trump, Politics or Flat Earth?

Might be time to level up your core circle.

Get around creators rather than consumers.

4. They have a bias towards action.

Ready, Shoot. Aim.

In the words of Steve Jobs… we’re all naked anyway.

5. They were resilient.

Your persistence is the measure of your self-esteem.

6. Were able to clearly define what they want (see yesterday’s email).

Skip the rest and just do this step combined with number 1… and you’ll be good.

Become your best student and do the above for yourself… and help your high-end coaching clients do the same.

Obstacles can’t stop you.

Problems can’t stop you.

Other people can’t stop you.

The competition can’t stop you.

Only YOU can stop YOU.
