‘Contract The Brand Rather Than Expand It’
A brand will be stronger if you narrow its focus.
You’ll often hear me say “If you motivate an idiot… they do stupid things quicker.”
Very common for a business owner to think it’s a good idea to offer more products/services.
This hurts ‘Brand’ and results in a lack of power.
Chevrolet is a great example of a once ‘super brand’ that represents nothing in the mind of its target audience.
Chevrolet Blazer
Chevrolet Bolt
Chevrolet Camaro
Chevrolet Corvette
Chevrolet Equinox
And the list goes on.
What is a Chevrolet..?
The reality is that you have no idea and neither do I.
How could we when they make every style of car imaginable?
One of the three most respected and powerful brands in the world is Apple.
When you visit an ‘Apple Store’ you’ll be blown away at how few products they have.
How many products/services does your high-end coaching client have?
My guess is ‘too many’.
Help them contract VS expand.
