Day 188: Murder Hornets
Hard to win if I’m honest with you…
Here are some of the highlights of what I was told in response to my sincere George Floyd reply, ‘disingenuous’, ‘racist’, ‘douche bag’, ‘white privilege’, ‘Mother Fu**er’, ‘opportunist’, ‘sh*t disturber’ and the list goes on.
I wonder what I’d be called if I didn’t offer to take responsibility for a minor slip up.
Did we skip the Murder Hornets?
It feels like we skipped the Murder Hornets.
Amongst the choice words and abuse I got a ton of questions and replies from Monday and your ‘Personal Brand’… so your one thing today is something that I woke up thinking about.
Sadly, I no longer have my own thoughts. I only think about tomorrow’s ONE COACHING THING’ and a bad joke to try to lighten the mood.
I might need some counseling.
I definitely need more sleep.
So, here’s a follow up of creating a strong and attractive personal brand…
Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:
“What Do Others Expect of You?”
The answer to the above question is the answer to your ‘Personal Brand’.
Their answer comes from:
- Expectations and what they expect you will do
- Experiences and the interactions you’ve had with others
- Observations of what they have seen when you interact with them and with others
You may be right and you may be wrong on what your Personal Brand is.
The best advice I can think of to strengthen it… is always ensure there’s not a gap between what you say and what you do.
Nothing worse than a big talker that doesn’t follow through.
An important saying of mine comes to mind:
“You’re measured in life by what you FINISH… not what you start.”
You heard it here first.
Hint: A guy with a picture in front of a Lamborghini or a Private Jet (that he doesn’t own LOL)… is probably going to let you down.
