Day 182: Jack Welch / DATA

I hope you’re having a great Memorial Day long weekend.

Appears we’re moving towards the end of this disaster and the primary thing I learned is that our governments are more stupid, more corrupt, and more out of touch than I had thought.

And that’s an achievement.

During the middle ages they celebrated the end of the plague with wine and orgies.

Does anyone know if they have anything planned for this one?

Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:

“Being DATA driven”

I’ve been asked to do about a thousand interviews lately.

As much as I’d like to oblige, I respectfully turn down 95% of the requests.

When you think of “Great CEO’s” the late great Jack Welch’s name comes up more often than not.

Reality is when you analyze the data… he really wasn’t that good.

He was as much ‘celebrity’ as he was CEO and never passed up a turn at the mic or to get on camera.

The best leaders of companies are, more often than not, the guys / gals you’ve never heard of and rather than ‘celebrity’ driven…

They’re DATA driven.

I’d take a guess at 10% of the business owners in this world would be classified as ‘DATA driven’.

That’s why the 90% fail.

You heard it here first.

When was the last time you measured your DATA?

When was the last time your prospective coaching client measured their DATA?
