Day 183: Sales Skyrocketed When I Did This
Yesterday I was talking about the primary trait of the greatest CEOs.
I got a small amount of hate mail from the late great Jack Welch fans but what else is new.
Data ultimately tells the story.
Speaking of data… apparently where I live ‘mountain park trails’ are too infectious to enjoy.
The rocket scientists working for the government demand my family and I head to Wal Mart to enjoy some safe air.
On a positive note if you want to save some money at Christmas, now is the perfect time to tell your kids Santa didn’t make it through the Pandemic.
Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:
“A World Record Week”
I’m guilty of being a tad competitive… so maybe this one works better for you and for your coaching clients that are ‘competitively-natured’.
Yesterday I got a ton of agreeable responses re: the power of being data-driven.
It doesn’t need to be overly complicated.
In fact, it works best for you when your system is super simple.
If you’re starting from scratch… here’s what I had in my office for years:
One Whiteboard with ‘New Coaching Sales’ written across the top and it was only for coaching clients.
Columns for Monday to Friday and then I had a total for the week and then for the month.
With 100% discipline I write in the number of sales for that day.
Placing a ‘0’ in the column drove me nuts.
Placing a ‘0’ in the ‘Week Total’ for sales was my worst nightmare.
Do it with discipline and it’ll subsequently stop happening.
Your sales WILL SKYROCKET.
Create a ‘World Record Week’ for sales and acknowledge if you beat it.
Watch what happens.
Start tracking your data.
Do the same with your high-end coaching clients.
Your data should most definitely be a little more impressive than just ‘new coaching sales’… start adding more columns after 90 days like ‘New Contacts’, ‘Appointments’, ‘Events Attended’ and add is necessary.
Keep it simple to start and fall in love with tracking your data.
A key piece of data at the ultra customer-centric company Amazon.com is ‘number of support tickets per order’.
If the number isn’t zero then the system isn’t working properly.
Think of the power of that.
Super happy customers do not send support tickets.
