Last week we covered a lot of ground, including how I chatted with Prince Edward in a private event and discovered confidence is not walking into a room and thinking you’re better than everyone… it’s walking into a room and not feeling the need to compare.
As well as how networking made Magic Johnson a billionaire and how Wifey says our kid’s teachers have been lying… turns out she’s not a joy to have in class.
Speaking of learning the hard way…
Dangerous Dave and his girlfriend decided to go on a diet together.
His girlfriend proposed that they have a cheat day.
She brought home McDonalds and a hot fudge sundae.
He brought home his new assistant from work.
In other news…
‘I’m so proud of you for doing XYZ…’ it’s far more powerful to say:
You should be so proud of yourself for doing XYZ…
When doing business, always think… ‘problem – solution’, ‘problem solution’, ‘problem – solution’
It’s an endless loop.
Every new solution creates a new problem.
I have a friend that sold his company for gobs of money and his new problem was utter boredom and lack of purpose.
*sucks, I know*
The trick is to naturally sell the solution:
– Sell the low score… not the golf club.
– Sell the hole… not the drill bit.
– Sell the freedom… not the money.
– Sell the picture hung on the wall… not the hammer and nail.
– Sell the adoration and conversation piece of their visitors… not the expensive art.
For all of you watching the AI craze on your FB wall… here it is today in a single sentence for you today:
‘Sell what AI makes possible for your client… not AI.’
You heard it here first.
Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
