Day 446: Problem to Problem

Last week I finished off by telling you that if you feel like everyone hates you, you need to sleep. If you feel like you hate everyone, you need to eat.

Speaking of things we don’t want to do…

I’ll need to explain the birds and the bees to my daughter soon.

Only issue is it’ll be the birds and the bees, the bees, and the bees, the birds and the birds, the birds that used to be bees, the bees that used to be birds, the birds that look like bees but use the same bathroom, the birds and bees that identify as ‘them/they’ plus the bees that look like birds but still have their stinger.

‘Problem to New Problem’

Your coaching client instinctively thinks they hire you to make their problems disappear.

As though a few steps forward for them and their business… and their problems will go away.

Reality is…

Rather than disappearing, tomorrow will bring them, different problems.

Becoming successful is basically exchanging one set of problems for a new (bigger) set of problems.


Frame problems as a function of you and your client’s reality.

As your client moves positively forward… manage their expectations so they don’t expect to enter a new world with no problems.

But to a world with different problems.

Ones more worth having.
