McDonald’s Five All Time Best Marketing Offers With Karl Bryan
Ok… I’ll admit it and probably never repeat it… I like McDonald’s. So does my 5-year-old daughter Saje.
She asks me, “Daddy, can we go to Ronald McDonald’s” LOL, she loves the playground. I took about ten years off my life eating at McDonald’s. I try to eat pretty healthy but not many things I like more than chomping on a Big Mac with no onions (the fact the food lasts so long… is scary).
Bottom line – they’re marketing wizards and have a market cap of $104 billion. Plenty of “secret sauce” we can glean from them.
Well, here I’m going to show you some McDonalds magic to help you close more coaching deals and learn something important about marketing.
You’ll often hear me say… “if you can coach, you can’t sell. If you can sell, you can’t coach.” Slight exaggeration but not far off from accurate. Those of you that can coach but can’t sell… you’ll hate this next part.
But it will make you a LOT of money and close more coaching sales so suck it up, Princess.
The 5 best and highest performing strategies at McDonald’s are:
- 2 for 1 offer for a limited time
- Discounting menu items for a limited time
- A special item (McRib / Angus Burger / McDLT) for a limited time
- Game promotion or contest for a limited time.
- A movie or TV show tie-in toy promotion with limited availability (until stock lasts) or limited time

Scarcity
If you’re trying to sell your coaching… and not using scarcity in some way (ethically btw so plz relax all the “coaches that can’t sell “– hundred ways to do it ethically and truthfully if you take two minutes to think about it. Hint: you can only manage ten to fifteen clients on your own. Voila: you have scarcity peeps!). You’re missing out on hundreds of thousands of dollars per year of coaching revenue.
Not to mention a whole lot of confidence you’re now possibly lacking.
One of our coaches did over $50,000 in one week of new coaching clients (to manage expectations, he has a thriving coaching practice already) when I showed him one technique (why is success always so simple??) and how to implement it successfully.
Scarcity is gold but I’m going to give you more of McDonald’s marketing magic:
- They coined the term and marketing message “Fast Food”…
- They created (not the first but they own it) the “Drive Thru”…
- “Do you want fries with that..?”
- “Do you want us to turn that into a meal?”
- “Do you want me to Super Size that..?
- Place McD Billboards on the HWY “Next Exit”… BTW Kids are most susceptible to this
- Aroma marketing… apple pie anyone? (Subway does a great job with this)
- Colour coding… Everything is red, orange, yellow and blue.
- Social Marketing and Philanthropy… “Ronald McDonald House”
- “The Golden Arches”
- Simplicity – they’ve expanded plenty now… but in original days when they were building they were “Burgers, Fries and Drink”
With all these… no wonder they’re so successful.
Question: What are you creating with your coaching?
I created a process where I can find any small business owner $100,000 in 45 minutes without them spending an extra dollar on marketing or advertising… and it did wonders for me.
We also have a joint venture program for business coaches “How to form a joint venture with an accountant”… and as part of the program we closed two joint venture deals with accountants for you. It’s easy once you know how to do it (Hint: do not tell them you’ll pay a 20% affiliate fee LOL)
I created the marketing message and internationally trademarked the four words “No Results No Fee” (took 10 years to refine it to those 4 words). Did wonders for me.
Lots of coaches struggle to sell (create) a $12,000 coaching program… I’ve created and sold a $500,000 coaching program (yes, you read that correctly). Don’t be scared to push the boundaries peeps :o)
Next, I’m going to go to McDonald’s competition… Subway. They hit and missed big time on their boy Jared whose sitting Uncomfortably in a jail cell right now and it hurt their business badly. But they grew from 0 to 44,000+ locations and that didn’t happen by accident. I’ll explain how and why they grew so fast and so profitably.
Thanks for tuning in,
Karl
PS. I drink a green smoothie that my wife makes me every day… so hopefully, the Big Macs are not affecting me that much :o)
