Day 161: China, Facial Recognition
Yesterday I was talking about a bulletproof strategy for getting coaching clients and buying the competitors that are falling over.
A profitable strategy for those that survive.
I also got plenty of advice (abuse LOL) as to whether or not I should air my political views.
I just prefer my politicians to remember their own names.
But, that’s just me.
Yesterday I got a ton of responses that looked something like this:
“Are business owners really going to buy customer lists and will it work.”
Not only is it an EXCELLENT decision….
It’s your ONE COACHING THING today:
“The Number One Commodity on The Planet.”
A few short years ago the list of top commodities traded in the world looked like this.
Before I list them…

- Crude Oil
- Coffee (the world should be embarrassed by this)
- Natural Gas
- Brent Oil
Well, the number one commodity today didn’t even make the list a few years ago and its now number one by a distant margin.
In 5 years I predict it’ll be number one by such a large number that you’ll be able to add 2 through 9 and come to a smaller number than the new number one will total.
To add to the suspense, I want you to pretend Jaws music is playing…. And I’m going to make you work for it.
The answer is ‘Data’.
The guy going out of business probably doesn’t have ‘exciting amounts of data’ on prospects and clients.
But I assure you that data (phone number and email addresses) is worth PLENTY to his competition.
Before closing the doors, they should attempt to sell it…. And the competition should be attempting to buy it.
On a related note.
You probably think we’re ‘somewhat technically advanced’ on a global scale but I assure you China is leaving us for DEAD in this department.
China is starting to govern their population with what’s called ‘social credit’ scores.
Look it up.
I want to put this in perspective and look into a crystal ball for you.
I’ll start with encouraging you to stop loading your ‘high school photos’ and ‘aging’ pics on Facebook.
In China, if you play a real-life game of ‘hide and seek’ with the government…..
… let’s assume you’re in downtown Beijing and the cops say “go”…
They give you a 4-hour head start to find your hiding spot.
Within 30 minutes of saying ‘ready or not here we come…’
They know your EXACT location and you’re arrested in Shanghai after a 4-hour head start.
If you’re wondering “how the heck” and “are you serious…”
I’m DEADLY serious…. And the answer is…
Facial recognition software.
What did you look like in high school and will you please upload a picture of only your FACE.
Big Brother saw it here first.
