Enzo Ferrari and Fast Times at Ridgemont High PART 2 with Karl Bryan

OK, I didn’t see any comments from you so I guess you aren’t coaching Enzo Ferrari.

Too bad, I’m sorry to hear that.

We were talking about creating compelling messages for you and your coaching clients.

Let’s do a more traditional coaching type client rather than my boy Enzo Ferrari…. Suppose you’re client’s a real estate agent attending a networking event looking for real estate investors (hint: everyone is a potential RE investor if you know what you’re doing).

I don’t need to meet the investors to know they’re looking for the hottest deals in the market.

People ask “what do you do?”…

… If they respond like most, “I sell real estate / I’m a realtor,” the response will be beta mode on steroids. Led Balloon. 

But what if they responded to the potential investor by saying…

“I help real estate investors take advantage of the local real estate market by showing them how to acquire multimillion-dollar homes for no money down and add millions to their net worth overnight.”

Think that might grab some attention?

Alpha mode. New insights.  Curiosity.

Suppose you’re speaking with someone interested in buying a new home, and they ask you what you do.

What if they said… “I help families buy a home larger than they thought they could afford!” Think that might grab that individual’s attention?

I’m not sure I’ve ever met a family not running out of space.

Everything changed for my coaching business when I started using this as my elevator pitch:

“My name’s Karl Bryan, I do 45-minute turnarounds… I can find any business owner $100,000.00 in 45 minutes without them spending an extra dollar on marketing or advertising.”

Then I created the process (plus created profit acceleration software to make it doubly dummy proof – which creates the roadmap for me) to follow through on with the client.

This way broke business owners, that normally said “you’re great, but I can’t afford you right now” and wasted a ton of my time, were able to spend LOTS of money with me.

Game changer.

Anyhoo… above are simply elevator pitches, and if your client doesn’t have an effective one, which evokes curiosity… they’re leaving a lot of money on the table.

Actually, they’re leaving your coaching fees on the table.

Sort it out. Coach.

Here’s a template I use that might help you out

(I / We) (action verb – help, guide, teach, review, provide, consult with, present, aid, assist, support, grant, give, award, evaluate, assess)

(negative emotions being experienced – frustrated, furious, overwhelmed, clueless, demanding, frightened, desperate, struggling, angry, concerned, worried)

(ideal client description – dog lovers, young adults, chronic pain sufferers, overweight men, homeowners, business owners, brides-to-be, new mothers)

who want to (what they want – increase their profits, find an honest plumber, purchase that perfect diamond, find the relief they need, find the best deal)

(solution – discover a process, learn a fast and easy way, create the perfect solution, uncover the best method, determine the number one reason, realize the best course of action, find the dramatic solution, locate the best deal, position themselves, place themselves first, find out everything they need to know)

to / so that they can (list 3 benefits – live a pain free life, build the business of their dreams, finally give the perfect gift, feel they’re getting the most value for the money they pay, pay the lowest price, receive the highest value, obtain the best guarantee, receive award-winning service, receive the highest level of expertise at the lowest possible price).

When you can help your clients develop powerful and compelling messages like this that evoke new insights and curiosity….  Coaching becomes a lot more fun and your clients make a ton more money.

You actually keep getting paid.

Actually, I do…. It’s just boring and I like to read a lot. 

That last statement would BLOW THE MIND of Mr. Hennessey.

He was my high school English teacher. I was still drunk in my car at 9 am when class started (I didn’t drive, had a cab dropped me off at my car in the parking lot)….

… He stopped the class, came and got me, everyone watched, he brought me into class.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High type stuff. 

I SWEAR he actually told me I’d make a great builder/carpenter type and I should pursue trades. There is 0 wrong with trades… but I can’t hang a picture.

Not sure you’d want me to build your house.
