One Thing: Day 59: Achieving Real Coaching Wealth

Day 59: Achieving Real Coaching Wealth

Yesterday I was talking about how gut stands for Gave Up Thinking.

My “Gut” convinced me to lend a close buddy, a not-insignificant amount of money rather than look at some hard-charging realities.

On ‘money due date’ you either get the money or a story. Like clockwork I got the story… ended up losing the money and the friend.

I’m sure that’s a HUGE surprise and never happened to you. Oh, and I’m the bad guy btw.

Awesome.

Then I went with my Gut rather than researching the SEO guy with magical Google powers but unfortunately, it turned out a fake name.

No shit and worked out totally amazingly fantastically well.

Hey Gut… take a long long walk off a short pier.

No, I’m not saying please.

Gargle, gargle, choke, choke… drowned.

Good.

Anyhoo…

I was going to explain how you can close a 24k deal for $500.

It’ll work like clockwork for a good coach that sucks at, and or, hates sales.

Ya, that’s you.

But I’ll do that tomorrow cause apparently “Gut” is a pretty hard guy to let go of.

To the tune of almost 350 email responses yesterday.

Like the little hottie that dated the bad boy in your high school. It happened in my high school too and had an equally bad ending.

Double anyhoo…

I’m going to complete my thankfully, now drowned, “Gut” thoughts.

True wealth is a slow steady, methodical grind.

Your ONE THING is the importance of avoiding the big loss.

Kicking on 4th and 1 when the quarterback wants to go for it.

I know your buddy “Gut” has a few wins so you’re deciding if I’m out to lunch on this one.

Hear me out.

No team wins the Super Bowl/World Series/Stanley Cup (tennis, golf or whatever) with an “offense only” game plan.

Will never happen.

The teams that lift the big trophy have GREAT defenses.

Forward momentum is not only measured in ‘yards achieved/runs scored/goals scored’…

‘Catastrophe aborted’ needs to also be factored as ‘progress made’.

It’s why your coach punts on 4th and 1 in the first half when the quarterback desperately wants to go for it.

Like a good football game, true personal wealth is properly achieved with a slow and steady grind.

If your stock market experience reflects the other 90% of the planet… for every ten stocks you’ve got 8 small winners and 2 hosers.

Your 2 hosers place you at a SIGNIFICANT loss.

You probably know who you can thank. Gut, cough cough.

Behind the scenes while building the 2.0 version of my software I’ve been studying small business finance at a level that’d make the average man tear up…

Red hot tip

I mean REALLY UNDERSTAND IT.

I’ll give you the red hot tip… it’s not the most exciting stuff in the world.

I’m a sales and marketing guy on steroids but “Business Finance”, the ability to properly put together and read a business’s key financial statements, so I can pinpoint exactly why and what’s happening in a business and where “immediate financial windfalls” live.

Please say “Hullo high-end coaching fees, nice to see you so soon and within 30 / 60 days”…

It’s the next level for me and how I think I’ll achieve true “Business Coaching Mastery.”

Which I will.

And maybe I’ll teach it to you and your business coaching friends if you share and forward enough of my emails :o)

Yes, that was a hint.

The most respected amongst us in the business world aren’t the ones that just made the money (offense)…

It’s the ones that made it and managed to KEEP IT (defense).

Managing your expenses is defense (boring) and revenues are offense (exciting).

Punting on 4th and 1 is also boring.

But it works if you wanna win the Super Bowl.

Please don’t allow “your gut” to reference the ONE trick play that worked 3 years ago.

You heard it here first.

I read all the responses so feel free to tell me what you think and I’d love to hear your opinion.

Tomorrow I’ll try not to get derailed and explain how you can get a $24,000 coaching client on a $500 close.

Speak to you then.

Obsessed with your business coaching success,

Karl Bryan aka King Karl

PS. As per above please forward this to a business coach or someone (sales-type or s speaker) you think would excel as a business coach.

Or just to someone that needs some poor grammar and an “Anyhoo” in their life.

And in case you care… it’s 1.35 am… I’m totally and utterly EXHAUSTED.

My first appointment is at 6.30 am so no massage for my wife tonight and I’m going to get my head on the nearest soft pillow.

Or a keyboard.

Zzzzzzzzzzz……!
