Yesterday I was explaining how the hustle and grind guys eventually drop a few balls and head to the beach with a beer in their hand.
Kinda.
Speaking of having a beer…
I was arguing with a guy at the bar who said he was a big pop star in the 80’s… I didn’t believe him but he was adamant.
In other news…

Anyhoo…
Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:
‘Life of an Influencer’
I’ve been to these live events where everyone fawns over the most popular speaker that ‘wows’ the audience with his dash and flash from stage.
I’ll agree they appear bloody impressive.
Here’s the life of the most popular speaker at the event.
Pack bags.
Kiss kids and spouse goodbye.
Leave HOME with bags and jump into a taxi.
Traffic.
Airport lineups and security.
Airport food.
Wait for flight in uncomfortable seat.
Line up to board flight.
Flight to first layover destination *No first class available, overweight guy snoring…
he’s so overweight that’s he’s both behind and beside you*.
Wait to exit airplane.
2 hour gap between flights.
More airport food.
Influencer takes a quick social media post on “Winning” (Crazy Charlie Sheen voice followed by “Dying is for amateurs” LOL) making out like everything is totally off the charts, amazing in the video.
Wait for flight in another uncomfortable seat.
Line up to board final flight to destination.
Flight to final city
Wait to exit airplane *some heavy silent farting going on*.
Baggage claim for 30 minutes.
Jump in another taxi.
Carry bags into hotel room.
Unpack and iron clothes for tomorrow.
Crawl into hard bed (alone) with bad pillows.
Wake up.
Find conference room.
Create another social media video on “winning”.
See some ‘fans’ and take some pics.
Wait to go on stage (they’re always running late).
Do their MAGIC (they’ve done same speech million times) with more video testimonials than actual content…
Close and watch people buy.
Collect ‘time for money’ cash (50% cause the event promoter takes 50% off top.
Then there is the flight, hotel, taxi, dinner, drinks etc… but who’s counting).
Say bye and take more pics and ‘winning’ vids for social media.
Now whole process reverses itself to get home…
Hotel, bags, taxi, airport lines, security, flight, layover, airport food, baggage claim, taxi, home…
If they’re a really good influencer that process will continue for a 3 to 10 event tour.
Next time you see the Influencer on social media or on stage…
Ask yourself:
“Is that really what I want and is this the right person to follow/aspire to?”
Me: *No thanks*

Going the wrong direction enthusiastically is not a great idea.
