Day 435: Contrast. Context. Environment.

Yesterday I was explaining how to create ‘contrast’ for you and your clients… it has the ability to dramatically increase business success.

Speaking of contrast…

Every Olympic sport should include one average person competing for reference.

While on the topic of an Olympic level effort…

My friend said she couldn’t wait to have kids.

So I went over to her house, ate all of her snacks, made a mess, did lame cartwheels, unrolled an entire toilet paper roll for no conceivable reason, didn’t flush the toilet, hyped up her dog, and then left with her TV remote control in my back pocket.

In other news…

Nothing can destroy iron but its own rust.

Likewise, nothing can destroy you but your own mindset.

You heard me.



Contrast / Context / Environment

Yesterday I was explaining contrast and got a ton of messages.

When digesting what yesterday’s message means for you and your high-end clients… think of three words:

  1. Contrast
  2. Context
  3. Environment

Example of Contrast:

When Rolls Royce exhibits at the Yacht Show rather than the Car Show.

Example of Context:

The people at the Yacht show likely have enough money to afford the Rolls Royce… plus they appear, almost, cheap beside jet.

Example of Environment:

The lights, glitz, and glamour help elevate the perception of the Yachts / Jets / Rolls Royce on display.

The best meal in the world in a restaurant that smells like sewage is not going to taste very good.


How are you applying…

  2. Context
  3. Environment
