Day 434: Contrast. Value. Subjective. 

Last week we covered a lot of ground… including Bezos showing his ex-wife how well he’s doing by launching himself into outer space in a spaceship shaped like a giant penis.

I’m really working that one LOL

But it leads me to a question:

What if UFO’s are just billionaires from other planets?

Something to think about….

Speaking of things I was thinking about:

9 months before my daughter was born, she went to a party with Dad and left with Mom.

*Don’t pretend like you’re not impressed by my musings today*

In other news…

They said I couldn’t… so I did.

Anyhoo…

Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:

‘Contrast’

Your client’s perception of price is 100% relative and can easily be influenced.

The problem is your high-end coaching client has spent zero time over the last 36 months considering how they can do it.

Instead, they discount their prices, subsequently crush their margins, then get surprised when they’re working so damn hard and not getting anywhere.

Think of contrast this way:

“There’s the thing… and there’s the PERCEPTION of the thing.”

Or said otherwise:

“Value is subjective.”

Here are some examples:

Beer tastes better out of a tall slim bottle

Wine tastes better when the bottle is heavy

Seminars are more attractive when done in an impressive venue

Sporting events have more energy when the stands are full (regardless of maximum capacity)

Music is better when it’s loud

Medicine is more effective when it’s expensive

A clean car drives better

A clean office helps you think more clearly

The more exclusive the school and the more it costs… the higher the perception of the degree.

There’s a reason you have to put down a non-refundable deposit and then wait 18 months to get your new Lamborghini.

Rolls Royce doesn’t attend car shows anymore… they exhibit at Yacht and Aircraft shows where the onlookers can afford their cars.

Ford is out in the suburbs with 100’s of trucks on display… Tesla is downtown with 4 cars in total to look at and you need to buy your car on a computer.

Apple presents their products like they’re $100,000 watches.

So…

Where’s the lesson?

Most business coaches are going to BNI…

That’s cute, but you’ll find better prospects at the Yacht Club.

But you don’t feel comfortable at the Yacht Club…

Until you do.
