Here’s a question I got on my podcast:
“KB, I don’t get why my friends don’t support me and my business.”
My answer:
“It’s not that your friends don’t support you… you just haven’t realized yet that those people aren’t your friends.
Real friends will always support you.”
A lot of the people close to you are secretly hoping for your fall. Partly cause they don’t want to ‘lose you’ and partly so they can be there to pick you up.
I’d go as far as saying some of them are secret ‘haters’.
I know… that hits HARD.
In other news…
They’re judging cause you keep starting over.
I’m clapping cause you never gave up.
Anyhoo….
Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:
‘The Ultimate Complexity is Simplicity’
Steve Jobs was a MASTER of taking something difficult and making it simple.
If you’ve ever heard The Golden Buddha story… the metaphor is that there’s golden potential within all of us.
But you must chip away all the mud…
Not build it up!
Read that again.
Therefore, the message of the day is similar:
If you want to impress your prospects/audience/clients use big words and difficult to understand concepts.
If you want to positively improve their lives, in a real and dramatic way, use simple concepts.
If you want to change the world…
Take COMPLEX concepts and make them SIMPLE.
Only problem…
IT’S HARD!
