Over the weekend my 16-year-old Godson told me he was chasing a new girl…
He sent her some poetry on Friday which seemed a little out of character for an elite hockey player with alpha blood running through his veins.
Me: How did it go?
Godson: Not so good, she doesn’t like poetry.
Me: Doesn’t like poetry… What did your poem say?
Godson: ‘Roses are red… violets are blue….
The porn site is down…
Your Instagram will do.’
Me: *Stunned Silence*
Possibly a tear in my eye as I live vicariously.

It’s not other people’s job to love you… that’s your job.
You don’t need to wait for an apology to forgive someone.
Some people you spend time with bring out the worst in you.
Failure always happens prior to a success.
You confuse being busy with being successful.
What you say is drowned out by what you do.
Everything you don’t measure is underperforming.
You’re working to be the best when you should be working to be the ONLY.
The word ‘should’ is the reason you don’t have all you want.
