Day 377: Self Reflection / Self Preservation

Yesterday I gave you 4 problems and four solutions of worthy arguments.

The bottom line, arguing with an idiot is like playing chess with a pigeon…

No matter how good you are, the bird is going to shit on the board and then strut around like it won anyway.

In other news…

Someone is mad at you right now cause you picked peace over drama and distance over respect.



Self Reflection

Having a LOT of abuse hurled my way and some pretty outlandish statements delivered about my character over a joke gone bad that I delivered on 2 hours of sleep…

Has caused me to spend some time in the mirror versus looking out the window.

Here’s a little of what I’ve learned.

Despite what the “Influencers” will try to SELL you…

The secret to massive marketing and business success is not:

A Unique Selling Proposition

Establishing your ‘Target Market’

Creating a Business Plan


The key to becoming a legendary business coach is self-honesty.

Legit business and marketing ability is not possible without a substantial amount of:

‘Mirror Time’ versus ‘Window Time’…

… and self-honesty isn’t possible without a healthy level of self-confidence.

If you don’t possess self-confidence, you’ll continue to lie to yourself and to others to protect a delicate level of self-worth.

In the absence of self-worth, you will not be able to see ‘The Entire Playing Field’ because your actions and choices are based off self-preservation.

This is why business coaches can follow my advice, strategies, and tactics to a T… but continue to not get anywhere.


Continue to make the same mistakes over and over again despite my NEW, VALUABLE, and virtually BULLETPROOF steps and direction.

Looking through a WINDOW rather than into a MIRROR

Their brain isn’t going to the areas needed to be self-critical of their actions and choices because they’re relying on delusions for protection.

They’re doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

When I was 12… I lost a BMX race to a guy with one leg.

*No shit*

My Dad teased me all the way home in front of my friends.

Another time it was raining and I came third…

The only problem was, only 3 people were in the race, and then it got worse when they called me up to accept my 3rd place trophy.

My Dad told me we should put that trophy somewhere special so he could show it off and tell the story over and over, LOL.

He laughed… I laughed… my Mom laughed… my brother laughed… my friends laughed.

I can comfortably say it helped me be more comfortable looking in the MIRROR.

On the other side of the coin…

When I played hockey, I truly believed it was my puck that they dropped in the middle to start the game… and I was just letting others play with it.

When I started as a business coach, I’d walk into a room of business owners and decided these were MY CLIENTS… and I was just letting others play along until I scooped them all up.

What am I trying to say…?

The secret sauce to becoming a legendary business coach and cracking your impressive financial targets and REALLY MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT with business owners…

Is not in the flashy business terms like ‘USP’ and ‘Targeted Marketing’ etc…

It’s doing enough self-reflection and self-improvement that you build a level of self-confidence that you can look in the MIRROR and see yourself and the entire playing field for what IT REALLY IS.

Not what you need it to be so you don’t have a public meltdown on FB.

That’s how you become a legendary business coach.
