One Thing: Day 358: Remarkable

Day 358: Remarkable

Last week we talked about Prince Harry getting caught off financially at the ripe old age of 36 and we got weird on masturbation.

Speaking of masturbation…

I booked my pregnancy test.

Apparently, I might be asymptomatically pregnant.

Question:

Who came up with the brilliant idea of moving the clocks forward in the middle of the night when everyone’s asleep?

When I run for office, I’ll vote to move them ahead on Friday at 4 pm while we’re all at the bar.

#Landslide

Anyhoo…

Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:

‘Remarkable’

I was watching the Grammys last night with my wife…

Yes, that happened.

Famous singers go out with hot girls because they’re famous…

Not because they’re good-looking.

That was on full display last night and how else could you possibly explain Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson in 2006.

Kinda makes me feel like there’s still hope for Taylor Swift and me.

You recognize music names like Sinatra, Jackson, Parton, Rogers, Houston, Van Halen, Hagar, Nelson…

From business, you recognize Gates, Bezos, Jobs, Ford, Barnum, Carnegie, Winfrey etc…

Because they’re remarkable.

According to the book The Purple Cow… remarkable doesn’t mean remarkable to you.

It means remarkable to me.

“Are they going to make a remark about it?”

If not, you’re average and therefore welcome to a life of consistently coming fourth.

Remarkability exists on the edge.

The meanest, strongest, weakest, loudest, quietest, fastest, slowest, richest, poorest, first, last, brightest, dullest, most expensive, or the cheapest.

The edge doesn’t matter.

What matters is that you, and your coaching clients, are on the edge.

Getting yourself noticed is different than being remarkable.

Wearing an ugly pink speedo and a baby blue hat to the mall will get you noticed, but it’s not going to do much.

I tried.

Had a boy try to pick me up which was new but apart from that not a lot came of it.

Being radical is pretty much a requirement of remarkable.

If I had a pizza place I’d create a radical one-of-a-kind mouth-watering $100 pizza…

I’d sell 100 times as many $15 pizzas but the $100 pizza would make ppl remark.

If I produced bottled water I‘d create a $100 bottle of water… I’d sell 100 times as many $2.50 bottles but the extreme price would make people remark.

If I had a bar I’d create a $100 Marguerita / drink.

Rolex sell $250,000 watches.

You guessed it…

They sell 100 times as many at $5,000 but the $250,000 watch makes people remark.

And want one.

Ferrari sells two-million-dollar cars and you need to put a nonrefundable deposit down and wait two years to get one.

I created a $500,000 coaching program and sold it multiple times.

I sold 100 times as many $10,000 small business coaching programs but the $500,000 program made me memorable.

While doing $400,000 per month of small business coaching clients I often filled three local small business seminars PER DAY.

I promoted “Come to my event and I’ll solve any marketing problem on the spot!”… I crapped my pants the first time I promoted it.

My flagship product now is Profit Acceleration Software™… My 900 current business coaches in 24 countries tell me it’s REMARKABLE.

Are you CREATING like the famous singers and business folk?

Will they remark about what you create?

What are you CREATING with your small business clients to make people remark about them?

If you want them to remark remember to get radical.

Stupid irrelevant fact:

The BMX movie “Rad” was filmed in my small-town high school gymnasium in Cochrane… I was a little young so missed Cru Jones and the boys but knew all the older kids in the movie.

If you were a BMX kid like me in the 80’s… the movie Rad was remarkable.

I’m still talking about it.

You heard it here first.
