One Thing: Day 336: Your Scoreboard
Day 336: Your Scoreboard
Yesterday I gave you my 6 factors of the right capital structure.
They would have been helpful for the GameStop investors that somehow didn’t predict the abrupt tanking of the stock they bought but forgot to sell?!?!
They “pumped” but forgot to “dump”
*Snowflake Nation: ‘Pump and Dump’ is a common stock market term. No need to send abuse about my inappropriate sexual references*
Speaking of poor predictions…
I was once engaged in Australia.
It was my birthday…
My fiancé, friends, and parents all forgot.
No one wished me a Happy Birthday.
I went to the office and even my staff had forgotten.
But when I went into my private office…
My secretary, who was pretty easy on the eye, said:
“Happy Birthday Boss”
I felt so special.
She asked me out for lunch and I agreed.
After lunch, she invited me to her apartment.
We went there and she said…
“Do you mind if I go into the bedroom for a minute?”
I said “sure”.
She came out 5 minutes later with a birthday cake, my fiancé, my parents, my friends, and my colleagues all yelling:
While I was waiting on the sofa…
*Breathe… Snowflake Nation… Breathe*
Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:
‘7 Attributes of a Balanced Client Scoreboard’
We’re in the process of completing a new, game-changing, section of our business coaching software.
A major part of it is the creation of a ‘scoreboard’ for our coaches to use with their high-end coaching clients.
The goal of this new section of the software is to ensure profitable results and make it EASY to keep everyone on track of the financial wins.
Think, “Profit Acceleration”
It’s a Super Power to be able to ensure that $100,000 hits your high end coaching clients bank account.
It’ll be helpful for you if I list the 7 things I have been ensuring we have to make it a balanced scoreboard our business coaching software produces.
1. We don’t want to have more than 5 – 7 measurements
2. Measurement must be clear and lead to a specific RESULT.
Example: Internet Marketers measure ‘opt-ins’ and ‘leads’….
But remarkably often miss SALES, REVENUES, and PROFITS. It’s VERY common to get an increase in ‘leads’ (idiots looking for quick-fix) and a reduction in ‘sales’ (cause your new leads suck) and revenue.
3. Time-based goals and expectations
4. Stop any measurements that no longer apply (see rule #2)
5. Make clear links between measurement and financial results (see Rule #3)
6. Be patient
7. Test, measure, and improve the scoreboard monthly
Your scoreboard must link the roadmap with ACTION and then with desired results.
Make sure your client’s resources (people, processes and money) are allocated where they lead to:
