Day 331: Pics of Momma

WOW!

Thank you for all the messages and the love sent my way yesterday.

Momma was a great woman.

For the many that asked for a pic… here are a couple.

 

In other news…

Death has been on my mind for obvious reasons… here is a convo with my wife:

Me: When I die, I’d like to go out having sex.

Wifey: Well at least it’ll be quick for you.

Anyhoo…

Your ONE COACHING THING Today Is:

‘Perfect / Vulnerability’

I know Momma wanted one thing for me and all her family and friends.

TO BE HAPPY.

A mentor of mine is close with Tony Robbins (TR)… I’m a HUGE fan of TR and named my daughter Saje after his wife.

Possibly a little too much info.

One of the biggest issue’s Tony Robbins has is that he puts himself out there as ‘perfect’.

Or more to the point, people project ‘perfect’ on him.

He agonized over whether he should grow a goatee or not.

He got caught going to ‘In and Out’ burger and he had followers in tears when he “got busted” chewing on a greasy burger.

Huh?!?

Can you imagine that?

Bottom line…

I don’t recommend putting yourself out there as the ‘can’t miss kid’ with your high-end coaching clients.

Vulnerability is a Super Power…

Otherwise Stated:

‘Use it rather than have it used against you.’

Here’s an example script you can use to get some leeway.

“Look, coaching client, I’m not magic and don’t pretend to be.

Zuck, Bezos and Gates have a list of failures behind them that’d make your eyes water, and therefore I can’t guarantee it will work and neither can they…

What I do GUARANTEE is that we will not give up until we get it right.

‘Right’ being defined as the outcome we both just agreed to.

STATE THE DESIRED RESULT IN THEIR WORDS

I’m excited to get started and we’ll go step by step ferociously.”

They’ll respect your honesty and vulnerability.

At a minimum…

Your client won’t cry when you exit In and Out Burger chewing on a greasy burger with too much cheese and sauce.

YUMMY.
