One Thing: Day 131: Harvey Weinstein

Day 131: Harvey Weinstein

Yesterday I was explaining how Victoria Secret spent a little too much time on the “push up / padded bra” (God bless you) over the last ten years and not enough on sports bras and bralettes.

Bye-bye market leader due to falling asleep at the wheel.

Ladies, on behalf of the other fellow “Boob Guys” that messaged me yesterday… is there any way we can turn this whole situation around?

So this topic got me thinking of ‘a little extra’…

Today’s ONE THING is a simple question McDonald’s is famous for.

“Do you want fries with that?”

Firstly, most people mistakenly refer to this as an upsell but it’s actually a ‘cross-sell’.

Secondly, it made McDonald’s about a billion dollars of annual profit so probably worth understanding.

Thirdly, with 95% predictability, your new coaching client doesn’t have a cross-sell in place.

Amazon attributes 29.3% of its sales to this practice.

If your coaching client is a flower shop… “do you want a vase with that?”

If your coaching client is a law office… “do you want ‘a will’ with that?”

If your client is selling a digital camera… “do you want a memory card with that?”

If your client sells a printer… “do you want ink cartridges with that?”

If your client sells a sporty family vehicle… “do you want a roof rack with that?”

If your client sells a computer… “do you want a warranty with that?”

The list goes on and it can be done with every one of your new coaching clients.

Stop allowing them to be obsessed with driving more traffic… and do these basic and highly profitable activities.

This one question can easily cover your high-end coaching fees for the 12 months.

This concept is an example of the foundation of my business coaching software (there are 11 simple areas in total, ‘cross-sell’ is just one) that finds any business owner $100,000 in 45 minutes without them spending an extra dollar on marketing or advertising.

And those reminding me yesterday about what happened to Harvey Weinstein because I publicly declared I enjoy the ‘push up bra’… please carry on with your day.

The evidence against him was irrefutable and he deserves what he got.

You heard it here first.
