Ready to get more qualified prospects and new clients today?
Before you can do this you must be clear who your ideal target audience is and what the real results are that they get from your coaching. Why do they want your help? Why do they need your help? What outcomes are they seeking? What’s their pain? What goals do they want to achieve? And what results are you confident your business coaching will deliver?
Without clarity of your message and what your tribe really wants none of these strategies will serve you. Your tribe must really want the results your coaching delivers so that you won’t have to struggle to engage them. Instead, they will magnetize straight to you.
Your marketing must be based on knowing your tribe, knowing the results you provide and then giving your tribe opportunities to engage with you.
Once you have clarified the answers to the questions above you will have identified a tribe that’s hungry for the results you offer. Now you’re naturally attractive to your ideal highly qualified prospects. I love having qualified prospects raise their hands and tell me they’re interested versus me having to hunt for prospects and try to convince them to hire me.
One of my top strategies to get a lot of clients fast is focusing on in-person local connections. The first step here is to think about the places you love to go and things you’re passionate about. Don’t think about where your target audience is.
Most people join leads groups, connections groups, the local Chamber of Commerce and other groups because they feel they need to be with their target audience to “get business.” I want you to forget that idea for now.
Instead, join some groups where you can do what you love to do at the places you want to be at. What you will discover is that when you’re having fun and enjoying yourself others will be attracted to you. You will also find that like-minded people will be where you are. It’s natural for people we hang-out with to inquire about our business and you will have a lot of people getting to know you and your business without networking. There’s no work involved in being part of your community and having fun!
Once you have joined some groups, you want to position yourself at the center of one of the groups. You become the heart of the group and bring together people with like-minded interests.
For example, one of my clients loves to invest in real estate. It’s not his business however, it’s his hobby and passion. He started a real estate investment group in his local community. Shortly after, some of the members were building relationships with him. Within 47 days of starting the group he had 5 new clients from that group without fishing for any business.
You can do this using www.meetup.com. You can create a Meetup to build your own group and then use the power of Facebook to attract the right folks to your group.
Lesson: Be The Heart Of A Group
Another strategy (and remember, only pick one and focus on that one), is to begin giving workshops to help your local community. I love this strategy. I speak every 2 months for my community and share ways they can improve their business. I don’t pitch anything or hard sell anything. I create a lot of value and that leads people to ask me for a consult… and then they hire me once they realize I can help them.
Lesson: Speak To Educate
My final strategy is the most fun! I host a party in my home. When I started my coaching business a few decades back I had 12 people attend a connection party at my home. I invited people I really liked and that I thought could use my services – or who know of others I could assist. We had a fun day chatting and connecting and then for about 15 minutes I shared some information about my business and offered consults. This is how I brought on 5 clients instantly. I still use this technique to this very day.
Lesson: Have Fun In Your Own Home
I know from my own personal experience that when you focus your marketing away from the Internet and to your local community you can quickly build momentum.
Let me share how this has worked for me.
I host my own gatherings in my home every few months for people I have met who I think it would be fun to connect with. I hang out at the beach and walk and talk to people doing what I love – walking and being at the beach. I also am a managing director for a women’s connection group and spend time with about 45 women each month having fun.
This IS the bulk of my marketing.
Because I’m doing things I enjoy with people I enjoy none of this feels like work and it fits in beautifully with my life. I don’t spend money on Facebook ads or time trying to sell people on anything.
Your Marketing Plan: Do What You Love, With People You Enjoy!
Bottom line: focus on your ideal target market, provide them with massive value, offer to help them in any way you can and you will have more clients than you can handle.
