Day 155: Perfect Timing

Yesterday I was explaining the magic of creating your Dream 100 List.

Also, after years of wanting to thoroughly clean my house but lacking the time, this past week, I realized that wasn’t the reason.

Anyhoo…

Your ONE COACHING THING today is:

“Selling Through and Not Just To.”

Here’s what I mean.

When I was building my $5.5 million dollar coaching company and doing $400,000 per month in new business coaching clients…

A large part (not all) of my dream 100 list compromised of coaching clients like accountants, business brokers, graphic designers, web designers, magazines, newspapers etc…

Basically, B2B businesses that had my target audience as their clients also.

Rather than just sell the coaching program… we’d ‘sell-through’ and get them to refer dozens of coaching clients.

I remember one magazine that was a coaching client, they sold advertising, referring $100,000 of high-end coaching clients within a very short time period.

When ‘selling through’ I’d do three things strategically:

1. We’d KNOCK IT OUT THE PARK with them and go above and beyond.

We’d ensure they realized how far above we were going and also do things like send emails at 2.30am so they knew we were burning the midnight oil.

2. We’d strategically wait for “a moment” when they were blown away and singing praises of me or the coach looking after them.

3. At this “a moment” stage I’d get them to refer their clients to us in a variety of creative ways.

The ideal situation, which wasn’t always possible, was to go to their clients 10 at a time and do live workshops in partnership with us.

The X factor above is the timing of the question for a referral.

It wasn’t on call three… or at the ten-day mark.

If was when they had “a moment”.

Triples your referrals.
