Day 1082: Impermanence. Clients. Buddha.

Yesterday I gave you some stoic thoughts highlighted by a man who sweats more in training bleeds less in war as well as how a bug hit my windshield when I was going 70 mph.

Speaking of the bug’s family seeing it differently…

My Drunk Aunt’s son Dick was in class and here is how it went:

English Teacher: Give me the opposite of this sentence… “Children in the dark make mistakes.”

Dick: *Raises hand enthusiastically*

English Teacher: *with hesitation* Yes Dick what’s your answer?

Dick: “Mistakes in the dark make children.”

English Teacher: *points to the door* Get out.

‘Detachment’

I’d say it’s a good idea to help your high end coaching clients create a plan to DETACH.

And let’s start with you:

1) Gratitude: Be thankful for what you have in the present… rather than focusing on what you lack / desire or the things you might have taken away.

2) Self Awareness: Note your ‘attachments’ and the REASONS you’re attached to them.

3) Expectations: Let go of control over the outcome. Focus your energy on the process of doing your best in the given moment and allowing the outcome to fall ss it may.

4) Presence: The greatest gift you can give your loved ones is your PRESENCE… give that gift to yourself. Practice being comfortable in this exact moment without judgement over your emotions.

5) Impermanence: Life is a continuum… everything is temporary and everything changes. LET GO.

You heard it here first.

Now, pick up the phone and go help someone.
